Musical Inspiration: Pink Martini (wink to the fabulous Katie T!)
Time: Latter half of Letterman and 20 minutes until my darling Conan
Okay, so this is a month of firsts for me:
First time…I’ve given out my own personally designed business cards with a snazzy business card holder to boot!
Digression—Uhmm it’s too late for me to be listening to Pink Martini. They’re fabulous and “grown & sexy” but I was on a roll and now my eyelids are getting heavy. No can do! Let’s visit my iTunes library, or better known as my medicine cabinet. Hmmm, what to choose?
NEW Musical Inspiration: Shiny Toy Guns (sorry Katie…I needed a jolt of energy!)
So where was I?
First time…I’ve signed up for a triathlon that involves a 1500m swim, a 40k bike, and a 10k run. alongside 3000 other athletes! Lol other athletes…like I’m an athlete!
First time…I’ve had my feet videotaped, while running on a treadmill and then told that I can wear neutral shoes because my feet land straight. Apparently, this is a genetic trait…or at least I think that’s what the sales girl told me. eeek…Thanks genes! Who would have thought that with my knocked knees, I wouldn’t need to correct anything!
Wow guys I can’t believe I’m this tired. I’m going to have to call it a night. Awkward, not the way I envisioned my first post going. Maybe the culprit is the movie “The Namesake.” I finished watching it an hour ago. I figured the warm and fuzzy feeling it left with me would serve as a catalyst. Instead it’s making me want to crawl up in a ball underneath my comforter. Good night!
P.S. I liked the movie, but I loved the book. Lahiri is such an amazing writer!
